Corona Virus Concerns

For Attention of Public and Patients

With the news dominated by Coronavirus, I wanted to get in touch and let you know that we are vigilantly implementing enhanced protocols to ensure your safety.

We are closely monitoring the guidance of the NHS regarding the spread of the virus and our focus is to ensure we meet customer needs whilst doing our part to keep you and our employees safe.

Here’s what we’re doing.

• We’ve enhanced our already robust cleaning techniques of our facilities before and after each shift. In particular, we are paying special attention to the places people touch such as door handles, seats, work surface and other hard surfaces.

• We are also cleaning our facilities frequently with recommended sanitizing products and encouraging all employees to be vigilant about frequent hand washing.

• In addition, we are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our employees. This includes instructing employees who feel ill to stay home and consult their healthcare providers.

Here’s What are we advising.

We are advising our patients and carers to protect themselves from possible infection. If you have any flu like symptoms or respiratory problems, you should self isolate for up to 7 days.

If you have persistent cough, high temperature or concerned that you have Corona Virus infection, please contact 111 immediately ( https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 ) WE DO NOT SWAB PATIENTS FOR CORONA VIRUS – CONTACT 111

Here’s how to get medical help.

If you require medical assistance or have any queries regarding your prescription, please contact the practice by phone or email rather than come in person.

All patients will be triaged by our GPs or nurses through a telephone consultation in the first instance.

If you have a mobile smartphone, we can offer you video or E consult https://www.miriamprimarycaregroup.co.uk/

All prescriptions will be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy, if you haven’t already nominated one please advise us by phone or email immediately.

These measures are being implemented to protect you, your families, all the medical and admin staff, so we can provide uninterrupted service.

Thank you for your co-operation
